The Government is planning to introduce ‘automatic enrolment’ for pensions in Ireland in an effort to bridge the shortfall in the state pension fund due to increased life expectancy and an aging population in Ireland. This will affect all businesses with employees including sole traders, professionals and trades, as there will be an obligation to introduce a workplace pension scheme and automatically enrol employees into the scheme. Employers will be obliged to contribute a percentage of an employee’s salary to help fund their retirement.
You are cordially invited to an introductory seminar to explain Automatic Enrolment which will be hosted by Thurles Chamber of Commerce in association with Campion Insurances and Zurich Life at the Anner Hotel on Thursday June 6. The seminar will start at 12pm and will include lunch. Please see attached flyer for more details.
Admission is free to all chamber members and business owners/directors/company accountants, but we would ask you to RSVP to email@example.com to confirm your attendance.
